Hello, I'm Jitthen Kumarr

I'm Jitthen, an AI engineer focused on building applied AI products that solve real problems and are performant, scalable and reliable from day one.

My path into tech wasn't conventional. I have a degree in Mineral Resource Engineering and spent the early years of my career in construction and account management learning how to sell, how to manage client relationships, how to take feedback to turn it into something better and how to find solutions when there isn't an obvious one. That experience gave me a genuine understanding of what problems cost businesses, what clients actually need and how to move between the technical and the human side of a problem without losing the thread of either.

During my time as an Account Manager I worked with the Google Ads platform and I was absolutely blown away by how that tech worked, especially how the Recommendation Systems worked behind the scenes and I became increasingly curious wanting to learn more about what was happening under the hood. That was the spark.

The deeper I went, the more I realised how vast the field was, how much had already been built long before LLMs entered the conversation and how useful all of that technology was already in our day to day lives. That realisation actually pulled me further in.

Since my transition into AI, I haven't looked back. I've been working end-to-end on AI products: designing and shipping LLM-based data processing pipelines, building RAG systems and contributing to real products for early-stage startups across different problem spaces. I work across the full stack with Python and TypeScript at the core, PyTorch and scikit-learn for the ML layer, React, Next.js and Tailwind on the frontend, with SQL and NoSQL databases depending on what the problem calls for.

I care about the craft. I like working on hard problems with people who do too.
